It’s Christmas time in Bakersfield and Ashley has returned to her small hometown to care take care of her uncle who recently broke his ankle. When she learns that he has sold her Mom’s priceless red Cadillac (a car that holds many wonderful Christmas memories for Ashley and the community), Ashley is disappointed. However, with the help of Duncan, her uncle’s attorney, she is reunited with the car. Restoring the car to its former glory, she eagerly plans a gift give-away for Christmas Eve hoping to fill up the shiny red Cadillac with gifts for the community - just as her mother used to do. As she reconnects with happy Christmas memories, she feels torn about her plans to return to the big city. In the meantime, Ashley and Duncan fall in love.
