Gregorio Cuartas, from FLAN (Political party) is the favorite to win the elections. However, when he is just getting ready to start the campaign, Cuartas suffers a stroke that leaves him in a coma ... And this event makes his team decides to search for a replacement right away. They find him in the humble taxi driver Leopoldo Chica, his perfect double. Chica seems the politician's twin brother, but he doesn´t have the preparation, the culture, and the necessary elegance. However, he is forced to run the campaign while Cuartas recovers, in order to avoid any kind of advantage from Alejandro Montes that belongs to FIN (Enemy political party), his main opponent. Polo moves to Cuarta´s house, with his 9-year-old son Liomar, he will have to learn all about Cuartas and political protocol, helped by the candidate's family: Mapis, his elegant wife, and Regina and Carolina, his teenage daughters. They, in an effort to honor a long political family tradition, decide to keep going with the game. Chica, also has the support of the tireless campaign advisor, Rafael Vargas, who is convinced that if his instructions are strictly followed, no one will notice the difference. Along the way, Chica finds out the different vices of politics, and the difference that a man like him, honest, normal, down-to-earth, could mean for a country.
